Q: Describe the type of person you might be interested in meeting

A: The person I am interested in will be friendly, easy going, non-judgemental and low maintenance.  "Easy going", for those educated in the Oregon school system, means having tolerance of and respect for the other person's views and opinions.  I'm really only interested in being around people who will like and accept me just the way that I am.  I go a long way out of my way to avoid females who are looking for a construction project.... you know, the gals who think I'd be a great guy if only... The kinds of women that I get involved with are those who know what true friendship is all about... that is, when you tell them something about yourself, they don't run it through a "how does this effect me?" filter.  Their feelings for me will not deteriorate as they find out that I am human, have made mistakes and have a few skeletons in my closets.  Finding someone who is capable of being a friend *AND* a relationship Lover/Partner has been a real challenge.  I steer way clear of people who are superficial, dishonest or unethical.  I am on a serious search for a friend, a soulmate, a lover and a Partner for life.  If you are a relationship lightweight, I would be grateful if you just passed me by.  My druthers: I'd love to find someone who looks good in leather to do a little riding with.  One of the things that I lost when Ms. Easyrider hit the road was someone to pack to Blues Clubs, weekend scoots and trips to Sturgis.  Age, looks, religion and so forth are completely irrelevant to me in prospective candidates.  You only need to be reasonably HWP and not be a whiner.

Q: Describe your personality type?

A: I am a Motorcycle Biker.  I have been living the legend since I was a little weiner.  My handshake is worth more than the most binding legal contract.  If I say that I am going to do something, by God I do it...no excuses.   I like cuddly women who like to touch a lot.  I am very easy going and very slow to anger. I prefer pleasant, upbeat people who don't get PMS much.  The women who I get along with best don't seem to be in any great hurry to know everything there is to know about me.  They are active listeners but tend to keep the highly personal questions down to a minimum.  That's an attribute that I have grown to really appreciate.  I prefer "cute" over beautiful and "padded" over skinny.  I rarely drink, don't gamble and hate sports.

Q: Give a detailed description about yourself

A:  Did I mention that I am a Biker?  I am established in my career and am pretty well off financially. I enjoy tinkering with things (especially motorcycles) and have an inquisitive nature.  I try to learn a few new things every day.  I am honest and ethical and my word is very important to me.  My kingdom for a woman who knows what vow, loyalty and commitment mean and are actually willing and able to deliver on same.  Looking at much of my life through a rear view mirror, I am nevertheless hopeful that even at this advanced age and hairline there may be a "perfect" soulmate out there somewhere who wants to spend the rest of her life with someone like me.  If this doesn't make me the eternal optimist I don't know what does!

Q: What's the FIRST thing others notice about you?

A: I am a big guy with a beard and long hair.  On first glance, people generally think I am a cold blooded killer.  However, in real life I am as gentle as can be as the many spiders in my home can attest :) People also notice my eyes which are some weird shade of blue (I wish they'd notice my sparkling personality instead, but what are ya gonna do?)

Q: What would be a perfect 1st date?

A: Jeeezz, do I hate being part of the "dating scene" again. Silly me... I thought that being married meant that I wouldn't be troubled with first date rejection anymore.  I always figure that a first date that turns into an acceptance for a second date is a good thing. Women who don't spend the evening grilling me with personal questions or trying to measure me for a tux get high marks.

Q: Where have you met most of your current friends? If you could choose the ideal friend, what would he/she be like?

A: I meet people all over.  I'm very shy around people I don't know, though, and as a result I don't have any good ice breaker or pick-up lines.  My Shrink sez that I need to be more outgoing - I'm taking that advice under advisement.   My ideal friend would be someone I could talk to and have them still be my friend after I revealed a couple of my quirks/fears to.  Many women seem to give "friendship first" a lot of lip service but sadly, IMO, most are completely clueless as to what their end of the bargain is.  If you're looking for someone who knows how to be a good and faithful friend, you just found him.

Q: What type of work do you do and are you enjoying it?For how long?

A: I am a Senior Network Engineer.  I've been in the business forever.  For the past 7 years, I have been self employed.  I am very well compensated for what I do and fortunately, I enjoy my work very much.  Back in my younger years, I was a Rock & Roll D.J. who actually prefers (and played a lot of) Rythmn & Blues music.  The Wild Man Frank, your Doctor of love, I have worked on WILD, WZRE, WMEX, WFRD and to prove my versatility, I even hosted "Saturday Afternoon at the Opera" on WVPR Vermont Public Radio.  I have an excellent collection of music which is fortunate since Portland doesn't have any good blues stations.

Q: What is your favorite pastime? Hobby? Diversion?

A: Motorcycles are my big hobby.  I am very active in politics and motorcycle rights issues.  I also raise tropical fish and enjoy gardening. I'm teaching myself how to play the electric guitar.

Q: What comedians, TV shows or movies match your sense of humor?

A: I think Tim Conway is a riot... all of Carol Burnett's friends are, actually.  I love it when Conway cracks Korman up :)  I enjoy the Simpsons and think that the Blues Brothers movie was one of the best films ever (for comedy).   South Park is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Q: List some of your favorite lines from movies/ poems/ songs/ comercials.

A: Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn
They won't catch us. We're on a mission from God
            I'm coming Beanie!!!!!!
What we have here, is failure to communicate (Struthers Martin in Cool Hand Luke)
If you don't get a goddamned job by sundown, we're shipping you off to Military School with that goddamned Finklesteen shit kid. Son-of-a-bitch! (Struthers Martin in Up in Smoke)

Q: Name some of your favorite Actors.  List a few of your all-time favorite movies.

A:  Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Jeff Bridges The Promise Don't knock the rock The Commitments

Q: Name some of your favorite Singers and Bands. What type of music do you enjoy?Do you go to concerts / performances? List performances you have attended.

A: I used to be a R&R Disk Jockey.  My favorite Musicians have been killed in helicopter and plane crashes.  Little Richard is (IMO) one of the most under-rated Artists in all of rock and roll.  Ditto for Jerry Lee (aka the Killer).  Elvis Presley is known as the King of Rock and Roll for good reason!   Some local Groups like Too Tall and the Tail draggers and Linda Hornbuckle are very good.  Also Francine West.  Mike Morgan and the Crawl is probably my favorite Group now living.  I also like Lonnie Mack and Roy Orbison.

Q: Any favorite DJ's?

A: I love the Wild Man Frank, your Doctor of Love, currently not on-air. :)
Arnie Ginsberg (WMEX) and Wild Man Steve (WILD) were my Mentors. Sadly, Portland doesn't have a full time Blues radio station. However, there is DMX.. Bob Anchetta (the big BA) has a good collection of blues that he gets to play every now and then.

Q: What's printed on your favorite T-shirt?

A: I have a lot of black Harley Davidson T-shirts. The Motor Company makes a fine T-shirt and great cigarettes. Too bad that the same thing can't be said about the motorcycles they assemble in Milwaukee.

Q: What were your favorite toys as a child?

A: My cars, trucks and army guys. I also had a Thompson submachine gun that I practically lived with.

Q: When you were a child what did you hope you would grow up to be?

A: A famous DJ like Alan Freed

Q: Where did you attend High School and / or College?

A: Roslindale (Ma) HS Northeastern University (Boston) BSEE

Q: Do you have any pets, and if so what are they and what are their names?

A: Tropical fish and stuffed elephants. Eloise and Gizmo. Check out http://www.easyrider.com/eloise.htm for pics.

Q: What personal habits of others really irritate you?

A: Drunks and Druggies

Q: What *is* 'SEXY'?

A: Talk about a loaded question!  I'm a chest man :)  I think that Suzanne Pleshette is the sexiest woman alive.  Tina Turner runs a close second.  Ike is probably the most clueless man in the Universe.  Someone (a goil) who smiles at you for no apparent reason lights up my whole day.

Q: Which virtues give you most of your self confidence?  What phrase or statement best describes your personality?

A: My integrity.  The way I see myself and the way I am viewed by others are two entirely different perspectives.  I suggest that you query a few of my detractors for an answer to this question.

Q: What do you think caused your previous relationship / marriage to fail?

A: The person that I thought I was married to and the person I was actually married to turned out to be two completely different people.  Yes, I picked up a lot of baggage as a result and yes she broke my heart.  Show me a man who's been through what I've been through and doesn't have any scars and I'll show you a cold hearted, sociopathic Bastard.  Even though she did me wrong, I still miss the good parts of what we had (a lot...)

Q: What would you like for your birthday?

A: I'd like to spend a night with Brittany O'Connell

Q: List some of the places you have lived.

A: Boston, Mass Montreal, PQ Paris, France Johannesburg, SA Mexico City, Mexico Lebanon, New Hampshire Portland, Oregon I have lived all over the World for varied reasons and lengths of time.

Q: Where on earth have you never been to that you would like to visit?

A: Tahiti

Q: What is your ethnic origin or ancestry?

A: Dutch. See Pieter Claussen in the search engine. I am a direct descendent

Q: Do you belong to any organizations/clubs/teams?Special interests groups?

A: I'm really not much of a "Team" Player. Team play = mediocraty, to me. I am a mover and a shaker and I make a really poor follower.   However, having said that, I *have* belonged to a few Motorcycle Clubs and am a former patch holder.

Q: Write your own personal ad as it would appear in the personal section of a newspaper

A: Average guy ISO Soulmate. 20-something to 50-something.   Height, weight, eye color, etc. irrelevant. Must be an ethical, honest person who understands what a commitment is.  Psychos and relationship lightweights need not apply.  Should be open-minded, non-judgemental, easy going and low maintenance.

Q: What are some of your lifelong goals?Where would you like to be tomorrow? Where would you like to be in 2 years? In 5 years?

A: Oh... I'll continue to grow my business, I suppose.  I've climbed the Corporate ladder and didn't like the view when I got to the top.  I like what I'm doing and where I'm at.  I'll probably just waddle on along like I've been doing until I am too old to work.  When the day comes that I can no longer ride, you may feel free to plow me under.

Q: If you could 'Do Lunch' with anyone, list a few.

A: My one true love, (wouldn't you like to know who?)
        God
            Jerry Lee Lewis
                Little Richard
                    Brittany O'Connell
                        James Garner
                            Clint Eastwood

Q: Do you (or did you) play any musical instruments?List them. What level?

A: electric guitar, keyboards. I would like to be able to play well enough to jam with Ronnie Vanzant when I cross over.

Q: Is there anything about you that the questionnaire didn't cover?

A: It is a mistake to get involved with someone who doesn't like and accept you exactly the way that you are. Who wants to be someone else's construction project? I am who I am and I am totally unapologetic about that. If you don't like who I am, that's certainly your right. But don't be nagging and complaining about it. Just move on!
